    Required things for Rasam:

    Black pepper – 2 tbsp

    Cumin – 1 tbsp

    Tamarind – the size of a large gooseberry

    Tomato- 2

    Curry leaves – a little

    Garlic – 6 cloves

    Dry red chillies – 2

    Asafoetida / Hing powder – 1/8 tsp

    Coriander – a little

    Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp

    Mustard- 1/8 tsp

    Oil- 1 tbsp

    Salt – required quantity

    Recipe for Rasam

    • First grind pepper and cumin powder and add garlic clove to it and grind it in mixer or Ammi.

    • After that soak the tamarind in a little water and dissolve it. Similarly, mash and dissolve the tomatoes in a bowl.

    • Now put a pan in the oven and pour oil and when it is hot, add mustard seeds, dry chilies and curry leaves.
    • Then add ground pepper and cumin and sauté and add tomato solution to it. Once these are fried well and start to smell, strain and add tamarind water.

    • Now add required amount of salt and wait till it boils. Remember that the rasam should never boil too much. When it comes to the first boil, turn off the stove and sprinkle coriander. Delicious Pepper Rasam is ready.
