    Required Things for Pineapple Rasam:

    • Pineapple - 2 pieces
    • Big tomato - 1
    • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
    • Boiled dal - 1/3 cup
    • Water - 1 cup
    • Salt – as per taste
    • Coriander – For a little grind…
    • Pepper - 1/2 tsp
    • Cumin - 1/2 tsp
    • Green chillies – 1 for seasoning…
    • Oil - 2 tbsp
    • Mustard - 3/4 tsp
    • Curry leaves – a little
    • Asparagus (Asafoetida / Hing ) powder – 1 pinch



    1 .First grind cumin, pepper and green chillies in a mixer jar and keep it aside.

    2. Then put 1 piece of pineapple in a mixer jar and grind it and extract the juice and keep it aside.

    3. After that add the ground pepper mixture and boil it on medium flame for 5-7 minutes until the green smell goes away.

    4. Meanwhile, cut the remaining piece of pineapple into small pieces. Similarly, cut the remaining half of the tomatoes and keep them aside.

    5. At the same time, put a pan in another stove, pour oil in it and heat it, add the ingredients given for seasoning and season it.

    6. Then add pineapple pieces and tomatoes and saute until the green smell goes away, pour in the boiling rasam, add required amount of water and salt to taste.

    7. Next, boil the Tour dal(Lentil) and mash it well, add it to the rasam and let it boil, sprinkle coriander on top, and the delicious pineapple rasam is ready.
